About

I’m the co-founder and editor of Pom Pom Quarterly.

Until recently,  I was an American transplant to London, where I lived for almost a decade. Lured by the streets of Bloomsbury and ancient libraries, I went over to study English Literature, and – oops! – forgot to leave. I wrote my MA dissertation on knitting in 20th century women’s literature and worked for a publisher, a gallery and a knitting shop – leaving me with a random but particular set of skills that could really only lead to running a knitting magazine.

Before setting up Pom Pom I also wrote for Interweave’s Jane Austen Knits series; wrote, photographed and edited the Loop, London blog; and designed for Practical Publishing and Quarto, amongst others.

These days I am based in Austin, Texas, where I am at the helm of Pom Pom in the USA.
